The fourth edition of the Fiera del Cicloturismo – Cycle Tourism Show – closed with record numbers and growing enthusiasm: over 22,000 visitors animated Piazza Lucio Dalla in Bologna from April 4 to 6, 2025, marking a 30% increase compared to 2024. Organized by Bikenomist, the Fair confirms itself as the main event in Italy dedicated to bicycle tourism, as well as an international reference point for those who ride for passion, discovery, or profession.

With over 250 operators from across Italy and abroad (+50% compared to the previous edition), the Show offered three days full of conferences, workshops, talks, and meetings, further strengthening its role as a hub for active and sustainable tourism.
Pinar Pinzuti, Director of the Fiera del Cicloturismo, stated: “The Cycle Tourism Show has established itself as an international reference point for supply and demand, highlighting the growing economic value of cycle tourism and the concrete commitment of private operators to enhance services and hospitality. The demand is there, the offer is ready—now is the time for coordinated action. Becoming a true cycle tourism destination requires a complete ecosystem of safe infrastructure, dedicated services, and qualified skills. Italy has all the potential to be a leader in this sector, but to ensure international competitiveness, strategic and continuous investments from national institutions in safety and territorial promotion are needed.”

During the event, the new Isnart-Unioncamere and Legambiente Report titled “Traveling by Bike 2025” was also presented, showcasing a rapidly growing sector: cycle tourism now accounts for over 10% of tourism in Italy, with demand particularly rising among millennials and total spending in 2024 nearing €9.8 billion.
But the Fair wasn’t just about numbers: it was also about training and networking for industry professionals through the Forum and the international 1:1 Workshop, and a source of inspiration for thousands of cycle tourists, both seasoned and beginners, in search of their next two-wheeled adventure.
