Monica Malpezzi Price accompanied her first bicycle tour, as a tour leader, for her parents’ company at the age of 15. Spending her life between the United States and Italy, with an American father and an Italian mother, with short periods of stay also in France, Ghana, and India, she has been involved in the world of active tourism her entire life.
Today she, her husband, and their two children live in Emilia Romagna, where Monica runs BikesPlus srl, the incoming travel agency/tour operator specialized in active holidays and small group trips, while her sister lives in Colorado (USA), where the family company ExperiencePlus! Bicycle Tours is based.
With a degree in Cultural Anthropology and a Master’s from American University (Washington DC) in Development Management, she firmly believes that active, sustainable, and responsible tourism increases the bond between people and the world we inhabit together: in this sense, since 2020 she has been a founding member as well as President of ActiveItaly, a network of companies formed by more than 30 tour operators/travel agencies, based throughout Italy and operating in the field of active and sustainable tourism.
