Monica Consolini, energy engineer and AIGAE environmental hiking guide, was born and raised in Lazise, on the shores of Lake Garda, where she developed a deep love for nature from an early age. This passion, nurtured over the years, became the guiding thread of her life and drove her to seek ever new ways to enjoy the outdoors. Curiosity is her driving force: getting to know different people, cultures, and traditions guides her adventures and daily choices.
Monica has transformed this curiosity into a concrete and ambitious project, RideSmiles, a bicycle trip around the world designed to combine exploration, sharing, and positivity. In more than two years, she has traveled over 31,000 km through 25 countries, from Europe to Asia and the Americas, meeting local communities, listening to stories, and learning techniques and traditions.
RideSmiles is also a vehicle for solidarity: Monica collaborates with charities, promotes blood donation, and shares landscapes, cultures, and encounters experienced along the way on social media. For her, traveling slowly means opening her mind, building authentic relationships, and discovering not only the world but also herself, pedal stroke after pedal stroke.
