My name is Matteo Stella, I was born in Rome and have lived for many years in Courmayeur, at the foot of Mont Blanc. Here I work as a mountain bike guide and mid-mountain guide, turning my passion for the outdoors into a profession.
The mountains are the common thread running through my life: I practice mountaineering and paragliding, activities that allow me to explore the alpine environment from different perspectives.
I have participated in three mountaineering expeditions outside Europe: in Alaska on Denali, in Nepal on an unclimbed mountain, and in Pakistan on Kosargang, experiences that have strengthened my exploratory approach and my work in remote environments.
In 2024, I crossed South America by bicycle, cycling from Bogotá to Ushuaia. A journey of over 13,000 km that took me away from home for four months. In 2025, I retraced the Silk Road, traveling from Beijing to Venice through the Gobi Desert, the Pamir Mountains, and Afghanistan, ideally following in the footsteps of Marco Polo.
Traveling, exploring, and sharing these experiences is what defines me.
