Prof. Luca Ferrucci is an Italian economist with a long academic career and institutional commitment. He is full professor of Economics and Business Management at the Department of Economics of the University of Perugia, where he teaches economics and management subjects and has gained solid scientific and teaching experience.
He graduated with honours in Economics at the University of Pisa and obtained a PhD at the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna in Pisa. During his university career, he has carried out research, consultancy and academic assignments both abroad and in various Italian institutions.
He has published numerous scientific studies in the field of economics and has held administrative positions in public and private organisations, as well as chairing academic and professional committees.
In May 2025, he was appointed Sole Director of Sviluppumbria Spa, the Umbrian regional company committed to supporting the competitiveness of SME and the economic development of the region, a position he currently holds.
