Andrea Loleo: “a walker with fat wheels”
Born in Genoa in 1961. He has a degree in Engineering and has always worked in the field of industrial software for major international brands.
He has spent his life in scouting, from which he inherited a passion for nature, topography, trekking, and the mountains. He then discovered mountain biking, which he experienced “as a means and not as an end,” and joined ASD Monte Gazzo Outdoor, where he brought his experience as a walker, topographer, and mountain enthusiast.
A few years ago, he had the intuition to create the first Ligurian trail, and together with a group of friends and members of Monte Gazzo Outdoor, he created the Cammino dei Santuari del Mare (Way of the Sea Sanctuaries), officially inaugurated on March 1, 2024, for which a cycling variant was created in June 2025.
He is a member of the national board of the trekking and Nordic walking section of the US-ACLI Sports Promotion Agency (to which Monte Gazzo is affiliated) and, for both US-ACLI and Monte Gazzo, he is responsible for tenders, an activity he also carried out in his professional life.
