One of the most beautiful things about traveling by bike is the overwhelming happiness that takes over you and fills you throughout the entire journey, and you wish it would never end. And even when it does end, it turns into memories that you could never tire of recalling and sharing. It becomes landscapes indelibly imprinted on your retina, accompanied by smells and all-encompassing sensations.
It must be for this reason that many people, when traveling by bike, keep a journal and take photographs almost compulsively, trying to capture that moment to relive it again and again.
“The joy is only real when shared” is one of the key phrases from the novel and film “Into the Wild” and there is nothing more true. For this reason, during the upcoming Fiera del Cicloturismo, which will be held in Bologna from April 5th to 7th, we want to dedicate a space for sharing bike trip stories. A stage specifically designed for pedal-powered stories, your stories.
No bike trip is trivial
Whether it’s an expedition in Patagonia, the Loire Valley bike path, or the Costa dei Trabocchi, it doesn’t matter. We don’t just want to hear the incredible stories of adventurers who have overcome every human limit. We also want to hear the stories of ordinary people who have overcome their personal limits. Stories of those who stepped out of their comfort zones and had an experience they didn’t think was possible.
We want to hear the stories of those who had their first bike experience, maybe at a not-so-young age; of those who were amazed at how their children, on a bicycle, forgot about the tablet and filled their eyes with real life; of those who cried with joy when reaching the end of their vacation; of those who took their bike and set off to visit their girlfriend on the other side of the continent.
Tell your travel story
If you have a bike travel story that deserves to be shared, then you can submit your video application to tell it at the upcoming Fiera del Cicloturismo.

Just record a video of up to 5 minutes (a smartphone video will do) and send it to [email protected], specifying in the subject line “bike travel story application“. In the email, remember to include your full name, city, phone number, and social media profiles.
Applications will be open from 01/17/2024 to 03/03/2024.
A jury will select the most compelling and engaging travel stories. These stories will inspire others to hop on their bikes and embark on an unforgettable exploration.
