Friuli Venezia Giulia is a cyclist-friendly land. Located in the heart of Europe, it is crossed by international cycling routes such as the Alpe Adria Cycle Path (from Salzburg to Grado) and Eurovelo8 (from Cádiz to Athens), which in this region follows the same route as the national Adriatic Cycle Route (Bicitalia 6) and AdriaBike.

The region is embraced by AdriaBike (eastwards: Tarvisio-Bled-Koper/Trieste-Grado-Lignano Sabbiadoro-Venice) and the Munich-Venice Cycle Path (which connects to Sacile via the Meschio River loop starting from Vittorio Veneto).
This land stretches from the Alps to the Adriatic Sea, passing through hills and plains to reach the lagoon, offering a year-round cycling vacation.
For cyclists who enjoy loop routes or those who want to follow their passions, the website www.turismofvg.it features themed routes for food lovers (Food&Wine), history and art enthusiasts (Villages and UNESCO Sites), those who want to ride alongside rivers or the sea (Water Routes), or adventurers eager to cross borders (No Border).

Cycling also means discovering unexpected wonders around every bend, where landscapes and hidden artistic and natural gems offer unique and delightful experiences (Slow – forget time). Families with children can enjoy short and safe routes for a relaxing bike vacation (Family).
For thrill-seekers, the Giro d’Italia Climbs and sports routes are a must for those who love road cycling adventures.
Gorizia, EUROPEAN CAPITAL OF CULTURE 2025 – for the first time in a shared territory between two countries

This is a year full of events, making it a great opportunity to reach Gorizia by bike along the Pedemontana FVG3 Cycle Route from Sacile to Gorizia, or to explore this cross-border area by bicycle “without borders.”
Here, you can cycle along the national border turned into a bike path or follow the GO2025 routes , which cross the border at several points through the vineyards of the Collio and Brda (Slovenian Collio), along the Isonzo River, and past historical World War I sites.
BIKE & ….
