Natural and artistic beauties, rivers and canals, cities of art and imposing fortresses characterize Cremona and its territory, making it the ideal place for cycle tourism and day trips.
No fewer than four cycle routes converge in the Cremona area – the VenTo route, which follows the course of the Po from its source to its mouth, the Adda cycle route, the Oglio cycle route and the Serio cycle path – connecting the Alps to the Po Valley and passing through different natural environments, from the mountains to the lakes and then to the plain.
Being located a short distance from the major cities of northern Italy and benefiting from numerous railway connections, Cremona is also the ideal starting point for day trips that make it possible to discover a fascinating and very varied territory.
Infinito Viaggiare is a route of 315 kilometers in ten stages, which develops in two connected loops, drawing the shape of the infinity symbol. It is an invitation to discover Cremona and its territory by bike, following secondary roads, cycle paths and dirt tracks that run along rivers and canals, among cities of art, walled villages, abbeys and villas immersed in the countryside.
The Cycle Path of the Walled Cities runs along secondary country roads, trails, dirt roads and paved roads, and is perfect for all legs. Starting from the Medieval Fortress of Soncino, it leads to the Tombe Morte, the junction of canals that carries water to the Adda, and from here to the walled city of Pizzighettone.
Musica nel Vento links Bergamo, Crema, Lodi and Cremona, historic centers of great value and places where Italian musical culture saw the birth of schools and leading figures (composers, singers, instrumentalists). Made up of three different itineraries – from Seriate to Montodine along the Serio River, from Crema to Cremona along the Navigli Cremonesi, and from Cassano d’Adda to Cremona following the left bank of the Adda – for a total of 225 kilometers, Musica nel Vento is Italy’s first cycle-music itinerary and is developed mainly on cycle paths or protected cycling routes, almost always within the natural protected areas of the Serio Park or the South Adda Park.
