The Repower Group, which has been active in the electricity sector for over 100 years and is based in Switzerland, has been present in Italy since 2002, where it caters exclusively to businesses, generating a turnover that reached €1.45 billion in 2024 out of €2.6 billion for the Group as a whole. Innovation is the hallmark of Repower’s approach to the Italian market, where it boasts a rich portfolio of services and products: from electricity and gas supplies to energy efficiency, from electric mobility to cycle tourism with the DINAclub project, the focus of this third consecutive participation in the Cycle Tourism Show.
Repower entered the cyclotourism market in 2018 with E-LOUNGE, an intelligent bench with smart charging for e-bikes, which won the Compasso d’Oro ADI award in 2020. Later, in late 2021, Repower launched the DINAclub project with the goal of electrifying Italy’s cycling paths.
DINAclub
DINAclub is built on three key pillars: gamification, visibility, and a bike rack, DINA, which can accommodate bikes and charge e-bikes. DINAclub is a network dedicated to e-biking, where every participating accommodation is listed both as a stopover and as a provider of charging services.
It’s a win-win solution: for the cyclist, who can plan their route along DINAclub points, and for the hosts, whether accommodations or public administrations, who gain extra visibility by being listed as points of interest on the komoot app, a partner of the project.
Through komoot, cyclists can mark a site as the starting point or destination of their route. Once they arrive, they can recharge their e-bike or secure their conventional bike to the rack and, finally, download a regional offline map for free (normally paid) by scanning the QR code on the DINA bike rack.
