Call for Abstracts: Building Cycle Routes and growing Cycle Tourists
the cycle tourism show: where solutions, services, and game-changing products take the center stage
toThe bicycle is the key to rethinking tomorrow’s tourism. One that enhances local areas, fosters stronger economies, and contributes to societal development.
The Cycle Tourism Show 2026 will be a place for discussion and tourism design. That’s why we’re looking for technologies, infrastructures, services, ideas, examples, prototypes, projects, and solutions that can change the way we travel, welcome visitors, and explore a region through cycling.
We’re seeking visions that make cycle tourism more accessible, comfortable, safe, and appealing to everyone.
This call is an open invitation to all professionals to take part in the Cycle Tourism Show, which will be held in Padua from March 27 to 29, 2026.
If you’ve contributed to a successful project that supports the growth of cycle tourism, don’t miss this opportunity.
1. Topic: Building Cycle Routes
The focus is on the supply side: making the bicycle a central element of tomorrow’s tourism. This means creating new routes, designing services, and developing ideas that activate local areas, attract new audiences, and transform the cycle tourism experience.
We are looking for real-world case studies, scalable products and services, and local solutions or networks that—supported by data—can drive growth in the sector.
2. Topic: producing Cycle Tourists
The focus here is on the demand for cycle tourism. We want to highlight experiences and tools that have encouraged new people to try cycling as a form of travel.
We believe cycle tourism starts well before the journey itself, which is why we’re looking for educational projects, school programs, events, or any kind of initiative that helps bring new audiences closer to cycle tourism—especially those who had never considered it before.
How to apply
To take part in the selection process, you must fill out the dedicated form and describe your initiative in no more than 300 words, specifying whether it relates to building cycle routes or producing cycle tourists, by November 30, 2025.
A specially selected committee will evaluate all submissions based on several criteria, including originality, effectiveness, impact, and the sustainability of the practices presented. Selected applicants will be notified by the end of January 2026.
