Lucho Pérez Sánchez is Head of the Sport and Cycle Tourism Area at Visit Benidorm, the organization that promotes the city and the Costa Blanca as an international tourist destination.
In his role, he leads the strategy for the development and promotion of sports tourism, with a particular focus on cycling, one of the territory’s key products. He collaborates with professional teams, federations, specialized tour operators, and organizers of international sporting events, helping to consolidate the destination’s position among the main European destinations for cycling training throughout the year.
His work focuses on the development of the cycle tourism product, strengthening connections with European markets, and creating synergies between institutions, the tourism industry, and the sports sector.
Thanks to the Mediterranean climate, the quality of its infrastructure, and the variety of routes between the sea and the mountains, Benidorm and the Costa Blanca have established themselves as one of the main European hubs for professional and amateur cycling.
