A cycle tourist since always, he takes his first trips as a child by riding in circles in the courtyard of his home and then goes on to explore by bicycle the city and the countryside of Pavia as a boy. His first real experience of traveling by bike, however, takes place at the dawn of his fiftieth year, when his lifelong friend invites him onto the Drava cycle path. From that moment on, he does not give up bicycle holidays, involving friends and colleagues. He even improvises himself as a travel writer – with a limited readership – in order to share his adventures with the family who remained at home.
A literature teacher for thirty-two years, in different levels of schools, from middle school (when they were still called that) to vocational schools and finally to high school, he is convinced that at the basis of learning there is the sharing of one’s passions. Therefore, he launches projects for students by combining his teaching profession with his passion for cycling. Since 2025 he has been organizing the activities of Adelaide a pedali, a Project of Transversal Skills and Orientation (now called School–Work Training), involving dozens of students and teachers.
