ASD Monte Gazzo Outdoor, affiliated with US-ACLI, was founded by lovers of trekking and mountain biking.
Its primary purpose is the maintenance of trails (free of charge) in order to promote the area through outdoor activities.

To date, the ASD looks after about fifty kilometers of trails behind the Sestri Ponente district, some of which are part of the Ligurian Hiking Network.

We run a mountain biking school for children aged 4 and up, where our certified instructors teach the basic skills of mountain biking and then organize excursions in the hills of Sestri Ponente.

We have collaborated for years, with good results, with associations working with disabilities, as one of our instructors is also a professional educator.

We have a large trekking section, which organizes sports, recreational, and historical-cultural walks.

In 2022, the ASD began working on the Way of the Sea Sanctuaries project, with the primary goal of promoting the area.
The route, suitable for walking or mountain biking along the cycle path, allows visitors to discover the seaside villages and peaks behind the Ligurian Sea.

The area of Genoa and its western hinterland offer fascinating nature and a millenary history, full of monuments, ancient transport routes, and Sanctuaries, symbols of the devotion of Genoese people to Mary.

The Way crosses the Beigua Park and follows the historic “salt and iron roads” between the coast and the hinterland, such as the Via Romana, Via della Costa, Chemin d’Assise, and Alta Via dei Monti Liguri.
In the last stage, the route reaches Genoa’s historic center by sea and ends at the Cathedral of S. Lorenzo.
