ABT FESTIVAL is a tour that travels across Italy to promote the Apennines and shine a spotlight on the development of inland areas by organizing a national event in each of the 14 regions crossed by the mountain range. At each event, throughout the afternoon, the ABT Promotional Area will host a series of initiatives for enthusiasts, cyclists, and families, including a 15 km eco-friendly cycle tour with scheduled stops for guided tours and tastings, a children’s bike-riding area, talks, conferences, and other side events, as well as presentations of the region’s culinary and cultural excellence.
At the same time, the Regional Forum on Sustainable Development of the Apennines will be held, where the National Plan for Sustainable Development of the Apennines will be discussed at a regional level and successful cases from the area will be presented. The findings of the forum will then be presented in plenary session in Rome during the Second National Congress on Sustainable Development of the Apennines.
ABT FESTIVAL aims to promote sustainable mobility for the discovery of the Apennine territories, with the mission of bringing together the many local excellences and stimulating economic growth in inland areas.
