Traveling in the Susa Valley means immersing yourself in its thousand-year-old history and tales of Alpine art and culture.
A valley that winds through medieval towers and castles dominating the Via Francigena, with centuries-old abbeys of international significance like the Sacra di San Michele, symbol of the Piedmont region, and the Novalesa Abbey, the oldest in the Western Alps. The vibrant colors of the Sant’Eldrado Chapel and the archaeological museum will take you straight into the heart of the Middle Ages. A valley where nature reigns supreme, ready to be explored: on foot, by bike, with snowshoes… in every season, for everyone!
Avigliana
Just a stone’s throw from Turin, at the entrance to the Susa Valley, Avigliana is a magical village, immersed in nature and history. Since 2007, it has been awarded the Orange Flag by the Italian Touring Club. A destination for gentle and sustainable tourism, perfect for a day trip or an alternative weekend getaway. It boasts an exceptional natural landscape with its two lakes, an ancient history that has left remarkable traces, and cultural events of great significance. All this and much more awaits you in this medieval town with a green heart.
Here, in the heart of the historic center, stands Casa Conte Rosso—our hostel.
