2023 edition

The second edition of the Bologna Cycle Tourism Show recorded a 30% increase over the previous one, attracting 19,000 visitors. The event, organized by Bikenomist, saw the participation of 90 exhibitors and offered two days of talks, workshops and entertainment, confirming the growing popularity of cycle tourism in Italy.

The event received praise for its organization and attention to active mobility, with the presence of numerous national and international operators who contributed to the success of the event.

In addition to the Show, the Cycle Tourism Forum was also held on March 31, which offered an important networking opportunity for operators in the sector. According to the recent impact report presented by ISNART, cycle tourists generated 33 million presences in 2022, highlighting a doubling compared to 2019 and an economic impact of over 1 billion euros.

I believe that the thousands of people who arrived in Bologna in these two days have had this dream with us, to be able to travel and savor every kilometre. Cycle tourism is now a necessary ingredient to imagine a sustainable future for our territories.

An opportunity for incredible visibility for Sicily's potential as a cycling tourism destination. We have created an ad hoc product to tell the itineraries of the island. The operators present were enthusiastic about the preparation of the public.

The Cycle Tourism Show was an opportunity of extraordinary success for the regions and operators. The Region will certainly participate in an even more important way next year. A huge thank you to the organizers.
